06 Aug Global Game Jam 2016
Global Game Jam is the world’s largest game creation event as it takes place on the same dates and at the same time (local) worldwide. The organization as a whole manages every year to maintain its place in the Guinness World Record because of the number of participants which continuously grows. The GGJ is mainly a creative and educational event. During the event (48 hours), participants are divided into groups and asked to create from scratch a video or board game, based on a specific theme which is announced at the beginning of the jam and is common for all countries .
In Greece it has been organized from 2013 to 2016, and for the first time was organized in Rethymnon, Crete in 2016 by Renia Papathanasiou and Vicky Fysika with the support of ViRA.
